The first hour of this movie was absolutely hilarious. I was laughing like a disturbed Gecko on crank almost every time Alec Baldwin or Philip S. Hoffman appeared. The last half hour or so, was like laughing at the kid who always got beat up in middle school. You’re not sure if you’re supposed to laugh, but ya do anyway. Knowwhatimean? Stars: Ben Stiller, Jennifer Anniston, Alec Baldwin, Philip Seymor Hoffman Regardless, Alec Baldwin was the best character in this movie. Leave it to a real pro like good ol’ Alec to keep you further entertained. He plays one of the funniest bosses-from-hell I think I’ve ever seen. Philip S. Hoffman was also very entertaining as the child-actor-who-burnt-out character. The Jesus Christ Superstar scene is too funny. Ben Stiller will always be called Zoolander in my book. No matter what. So, with that random sentence, let’s examine Ben Stiller’s seemingly endless portrayal of the loveable loser. (What would Jerry Lewis think?). The Big Bumout: Ben’s wife ends up playing “Hiding Mr. Wang” with the scuba instructor on their honeymoon. That sucks. The scuba instructor’s character is awesome! Enter New Pussy: Ben bumps into Jen at a party and it’s like, so random ‘cause, like, they went to school together. Isn’t that awesome!? (No. Btw, I really hate this pseudo-chick-fantasy-ex-classmate-you-always-wanted-to-fuck story that keeps occurring in every other movie the past 20 years). Faulker does PFeffer: From this point on Ben Stiller becomes Gaylord Faulker all over again and it’s quite funny watching him fall over the place and get messy. Again. Jennifer Anniston Has Nice Butt: Seriously. I don’t think it was a body-double either. Nice one, Brad! The End. So, as you can see, this is a movie worth checking out. Via Netflicks or purchase the DVD for under $12.99. You really have to see Alec Baldwin’s performance. It’s worth the rental or reasonably priced DVD purchase.
