It’s almost hard to believe that underground hip hop hard hitters Jedi Mind Tricks dropped their first EP almost ten years ago. But it’s true. And Vinnie Paz is ready to assault your ear drums one more time.

The last time we heard from the boys of JMT (MCs Vinnie Paz and Producer Stoupe The Enemy Of Mankind) was a lil earlier this year when they dropped Army of the Pharaohs: The Torture Papers which was essentially a whose who of their record label, Babygrande. But the album lacked a sense of focus and continuity. So now the boys are back with a vengeance.

Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell” is the most mature release from Jedi Mind Tricks. Vinnie Paz’s rhymes stray away from his own personal pains and are now more rooted with a sense of purpose. Songs deal with slavery, Middle East conflict and the Vietnam War (which features the one and only R.A. The Rugged Man.)

Stoupe’s manipulated sounds have grown to a point where to call them beats would be offensive, they are now compositions. His style is rather Rza like which explains why he is being celebrated as one of the most creative producers in the underground today.

The album features appearances by Ill Bill of Non Phixion, Reef the Lost Cauze, Chief Kamachi, and Sean Price. Honestly, this album is some raw shit. It balances joy and pain, old school and cutting edge, chaos and peace
